I’m usually not one to get concerned by the latest technology and I’ve made a point to build multiple streams of income and sources of traffic. But one of the most successful traffic channels I’ve built is through search engine optimization — and the advent of AI is promising to change how search engines (and SEO) work.
So what does the advent of AI-driven search engines and SEO tools going to mean for my business? Will this source of traffic that has been fairly consistent for the past 10 years dry up overnight?
I’ve been following the latest trends through Search Engine Land and other SEO experts, but I decided to go directly to the source and ask Google itself.
Google Bard told me that AI is rapidly changing the world, and the field of SEO is no exception. AI-powered tools are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and they are capable of performing many of the tasks that were once done by human SEOs.
Google acknowledged my concern, but assured me that there is no need to panic. AI can actually be a powerful tool for SEO, and it can help creatorpreneurs improve their websites' visibility in search engines.
Bard also gave me a few tips for digital entrepreneurs who are concerned about AI's impact on SEO:
